A Letter from our Committee:
In today's fast-paced world, supporting our growing senior community (50 and older) is more important than ever. Senior centers provide connection, resources, activities, and companionship that help older adults thrive. To continue serving as a vital place of hope and support, our Senior Center depends on strong, sustainable funding.
Every day at the Senior Center of Langlade County, we see the power of connection-in the smile of a widowed member sharing morning coffee, the laughter of friends playing cards, and the peace of mind of a family member whose loved one is safe and cared for. For many members, the Center is more than a building, it is a lifeline. Here, they find warmth, friendship, renewed connections, and purpose each day. The Center also welcomes those entering a new stage of senior life, including recent retirees looking for meaningful ways to spend their time and others preparing for the next phase of life. For adults aged 50 and older, the Senior Center offers a place to belong, participate, and stay engaged.
The Board of Directors is committed to keeping our Senior Center sustainable for years to come. We are launching the 2026 "Pour Your Heart Out" campaign to fill our coffee cup and raise $100,000. The campaign begins at our August 11th Anniversary Picnic for members and ends November 30, 2026. (Donations are accepted at any time)
This year's campaign will help us:
• Cover daily operating costs
• Provide nutritious meals in partnership with ADRC Senior Dining
• Offer more programs/classes that support wellness, maintain mobility and independence
• Future evening program options to allow participation by our younger Senior (50+) members still in the workforce
• Create more opportunities for social connection and reduce isolation
• Sustain our Rock Steady Boxing program for individuals with Parkinson's disease
We are proud and thankful of the Senior Center we have built together-one that meets real needs in our community. Our leadership deeply appreciates the local support we already receive, and we hope you will consider joining this fund raising effort. Your gifts allow us to continue serving the needs of our growing senior population.
From all of us at the Senior Center of Langlade County, thank you for caring, giving, and believing in the dignity and joy of every stage of life. We really appreciate you helping us to fill our cup with support for our Seniors.
With gratitude,
Annual Campaign Committee of Senior Center of Langlade County
